Here are messages of support from Students at the City of Sunderland College.
"We wholeheartedly support the people of Burma and feel their efforts to protest is a brave and noble act. Our hearts go out to them and we sympathise for any pain and suffering endured because you want a life of peace and freedom. We wish them all safety and protection. We want them to know they are not alone at this time."
"A group of us here in England would like to send our support to you during this difficult time. We are aware of what is going on in your country and we plan to take action by contacting the prime minister asking him to take immediate action."
"We respect the loyalty of your people to make it a better place. We are sure your freedom and democracy will be regained."

Got this on ABITSU site EARLY THIS MORNING
while internet was still up.
UN Designated Official in Rangoon has established a 24 hour hotline in case of emergency, especially during curfew hours. The numbers to call are: 01 554 597 or 01 554 625. Please pass this to all people inside Burma.
Hope this helps someone.
