"People around the world who witnessed the dignified protests of Burma’s monks and lay-people last month, as well as the junta’s atrocious crackdown, are now putting their hopes for a solution to Burma’s human rights crisis in the upcoming visits of two high-level UN officials to Burma, UN Under Secretary General for Political Affairs and Special Envoy to Burma Ibrahim Gambari, and UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, Paulo Sergio Pinheiro.
